LVBA Welcomes New Players & Families

Junior season kicked off on Saturday with the Latrobe Valley - Juniors playing Tball. Baseball Club/s from across the latrobe valley and wellington shire put in teams, with the kids having a ball of a time learning about the game of knowledge, chance and learning new skills. With players as young of 5 years old, they gave it a go as well as making new friends on and off the diamond.
Under 13s continued straight after, this is where the competition began, showing the u13s were ready and keen for the 2018 season that laid ahead.
Due to the number of players there were a number of forefits to start the Under13's season with Moe forefit against Traralgon, Morwell forefit against Sale. There was 1 game that did manage to play a game, who was Churchill Braves vs South Gippsland Miners. Unfornutally it wasn't the start Braves wanted to the season with Miners taking an early lead and winning the game in the end 20 - 5. Churchill had multiple safe hits from Jack Thomas & Liam Duncan, but it was enough as Miners collected 21 hits on the day, J Carew hitting  5 on the day.

U-16s:
There was no Under 16s played in Round 1.
Churchill v South Gippsland: Bye, No Under 16s for South Gippsland
Moe v Traralgon: Bye, No Under 16s for Moe/ Newborough Dodgers
Morwell v Sale: Sale Forefit, Due to Numbers.
