Moe Dodgers & South Gippsland Miners were both wanting to start the season with a high scoring game and a win, but unfortunately it was the dodgers day as they came out on top with a 20-15 win.
Trent Euman opened the Dodgers lead in the early stages in the first inning, as a singled was made from 0-1 count & scoring a run. Moe wanted to hold this lead within the 2nd inning as they scored a further 5 runs. It came to the 3rd inning and that's where it all happened, having a rally of doubles from Chris Forrester, Jason McKinnon and Trent job with the help of singles from Daniel Cole & Mark Pastuszyn. South Gippsland Miner's Wayne Prossor led the way with the total of bases stolen for the miners, as the miners were on the ball when it was coming to stealing bases but it wasn't enough against the Moe/ Newborough Dodgers.
